ApexBrowse Browser Privacy Policy

Effective Date: June 22, 2025

1. Introduction

Welcome to ApexBrowse Browser ("ApexBrowse," "we," "us," or "our"). ApexBrowse is committed to protecting your privacy and providing you with a secure and fast Browse experience. This Privacy Policy explains how ApexBrowse Browser collects, uses, and shares information when you use our browser software and related services.

By using ApexBrowse Browser, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

ApexBrowse Browser is designed to minimize the collection of personal data. We primarily process data locally on your device. However, certain functionalities and services may require the collection of limited information.

2.1. Information You Provide Directly:

● Account Information: If you choose to create an account for synchronization services (e.g., syncing bookmarks, history, passwords across devices), we will collect information necessary for account creation and management, such as your email address and encrypted data.

● Feedback & Support: If you contact us for support, report a bug, or provide feedback, we may collect your contact information (e.g., email address) and the content of your communication.

2.2. Information Collected Automatically (Non-Personal or Anonymized):

● Browser Usage & Performance Data: To improve ApexBrowse Browser's performance, stability, and features, we may collect aggregated and anonymized data about how the browser functions (e.g., crash reports, feature usage statistics, overall browser performance). This data cannot be used to identify you personally.

● Technical Data: We may collect non-identifying technical data about your device and browser, such as browser version, operating system, language settings, and screen resolution. This is used for compatibility and optimization.

● IP Address (Limited Use): Your IP address may be temporarily processed for essential functions like connecting to websites or determining approximate geographic location for content delivery (e.g., local news feeds, if enabled). For our built-in VPN, your actual IP address is masked, and we maintain a strict no-logging policy regarding your VPN usage.

● Cookies & Local Storage: ApexBrowse Browser uses cookies and local storage to store your browser preferences, settings, and other data necessary for core browser functionality. You have control over these through browser settings.

● Search Queries: When you use the search bar, your queries are sent to your chosen default search engine provider. ApexBrowse does not log or store your search queries on its servers.

● Website Visit Data (Optional Sync): Your Browse history, bookmarks, open tabs, and saved passwords remain on your device. If you enable sync services, this data is encrypted and stored on our servers for synchronization across your devices. You control what data is synced.

● Location Data (With Consent): If you grant permission, websites and services accessed through ApexBrowse Browser may request access to your precise location. ApexBrowse Browser acts as a conduit for this information and does not store your location data.

2.3. Information from Third Parties:

● Search Engines: Your interaction with search engines through ApexBrowse Browser is governed by the privacy policies of those search engines.

● Browser Extensions: Any extensions you install within ApexBrowse Browser may have their own data collection practices, governed by their respective privacy policies. ApexBrowse Browser is not responsible for the data collection practices of third-party extensions.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

● To Provide Browser Functionality: To operate, maintain, and provide all the features of ApexBrowse Browser, including displaying web pages, running extensions, and managing settings.

● To Improve ApexBrowse Browser: To understand how users interact with the browser, identify and fix bugs, develop new features, and enhance overall performance and user experience. This is primarily done using aggregated and anonymized data.

● For Security & Safety: To protect you from malicious websites, phishing attempts, malware, and other online threats. This includes updating safe Browse lists.

● To Personalize Your Experience (If Applicable): To provide customized content, themes, or news feeds based on your settings and preferences.

● For Communication: To respond to your inquiries, provide technical support, and send you important updates or announcements related to ApexBrowse Browser.

● To Fulfill Legal Obligations: To comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal processes.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

ApexBrowse Browser is built with your privacy in mind. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:

● With Your Consent: We may share your information if you give us explicit permission to do so.

● Aggregated or Anonymized Data: We may share aggregated or anonymized information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you. This data is used for research, analysis, and reporting to improve our services.

● Third-Party Service Providers: We may engage third-party companies or individuals to perform services on our behalf (e.g., hosting, analytics, bug reporting). These providers are contractually obligated to protect your information and use it only for the purposes for which it was disclosed.

● Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court order or government agency).

● Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of the transaction. We will notify you via email or a prominent notice on our website of any such change in ownership or control of your personal information.

5. Specific Feature Data Handling

● Built-in VPN: ApexBrowse's free VPN operates on a strict no-logging policy. This means we do not collect or store any information about your online activities when the VPN is active, including Browse history, traffic data, IP addresses, DNS queries, or connection timestamps.

● Built-in Ad Blocker: The ad blocker functions locally on your device. It identifies and blocks ads based on publicly available filter lists. We do not track your Browse activity related to ad blocking or send your Browse data to our servers for this feature.

● Sync Service: If you enable sync, your data (e.g., bookmarks, passwords, history) is end-to-end encrypted before being sent to our servers, meaning only you can decrypt it. We store this encrypted data solely for the purpose of syncing it across your devices.

6. Your Choices and Rights

You have significant control over your data within ApexBrowse Browser:

● Data Deletion: You can clear your Browse history, cookies, cache, and other site data at any time through the browser settings.

● Cookie Management: You can configure your browser to accept or reject cookies, or to notify you when a cookie is being sent.

● Do Not Track (DNT): ApexBrowse Browser supports the "Do Not Track" setting, which, when enabled, sends a signal to websites that you prefer not to be tracked. Please note that not all websites or online services are obligated to respond to DNT signals.

● Sync Settings: You can enable, disable, or customize which data types are synced to your ApexBrowse account at any time. You can also delete your synced data.

● Extension Management: You can install, disable, or remove browser extensions at any time. Be mindful of the privacy policies of extensions you choose to install.

● Access, Rectification, Erasure (GDPR Rights): Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data we hold about you. For data stored locally on your device, you have direct control. For data stored on our servers (e.g., encrypted sync data), please contact us using the details below.

7. Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect the information we collect from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

8. Children's Privacy

ApexBrowse Browser is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under this age. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child without parental consent, we will take steps to remove that information from our servers.

9. International Data Transfers/h3>

ApexBrowse Browser is a global product. Your information may be transferred to and maintained on computers located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction. Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by your submission of such information represents your agreement to that transfer.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Your continued use of ApexBrowse Browser after any modifications will constitute your acknowledgment of the modifications and your consent to abide and be bound by the modified Privacy Policy.
